Deck overview

This is a Dimir control-combo deck helmed by Talion, the Kindly Lord, who serves as a repeatable draw engine and life-drain that punishes opponents for casting spells at a chosen number. The primary game plan is to control the board with a dense counterspell and removal suite, accrue card advantage through Talion and a deep draw package, then close the game with a compact two-card combo: Demonic Consultation exiling the library into Thassa's Oracle. Backup win lines include the Acererak the Archlich + Rooftop Storm infinite venture loop and self-mill victories through Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries fed by Peer into the Abyss and Ad Nauseam. With roughly fourteen tutor effects, the deck's combo lines are extraordinarily consistent, and its stack interaction makes it a genuine threat on every turn.
