Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet spellslinger storm and burn deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as a triple threat in the command zone: a scalable creature, a massive burst mana generator via its {0} activated ability, and a table-wide burn engine that deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast. The strategy revolves around deploying Vivi on Turn 3, attaching damage-trigger draw engines like Curiosity or Ophidian Eye to draw three cards per noncreature spell, and converting high card velocity into lethal mana and damage. The 99 features an ultra-dense suite of cheap cantrips, burn multipliers such as Guttersnipe and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, and premier finishers including Chandra's Ignition and Crackle with Power. Backed by over 16 low-cost counterspells and protective tools like Hexing Squelcher and Lightning Greaves, the deck reliably shields its engine, transitions into critical onset on Turn 5, and eliminates the entire table by Turn 6.
