Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimation strategy helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. It accelerates early with 1-drop mana dorks, self-mill creatures, and efficient sacrifice enablers. Once Meren enters the battlefield, she establishes a continuous recursion engine that repeatedly triggers enter-the-battlefield and death abilities on utility creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Satyr Wayfinder, and Plaguecrafter. This engine generates significant card and mana advantage while keeping opposing creature boards suppressed through continuous edict effects and Grave Pact. The primary route to victory is a compact reanimation combo featuring Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion, typically assembled via Buried Alive or Entomb paired with Victimize or Living Death. Alternatively, the deck can drain the entire table through attrition loops with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Syr Konrad, the Grim, or Marionette Apprentice. While resilient against removal thanks to abundant reanimation effects, the deck remains vulnerable to fast graveyard hate and lacks countermagic.
