Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter attrition engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy focuses on spreading -1/-1 counters across both sides of the battlefield to generate asymmetric card advantage and life drain. Early turns prioritize establishing 2-mana ramp to deploy Auntie Ool ahead of curve. Once the commander is active, self-blight triggers and wither damage draw cards while draining opponents for each counter placed on their creatures. Mid-game bombs like Carnifex Demon, Kulrath Knight, and Necroskitter decimate opposing boards, freeze survivors, and steal dying threats. Lacking fast infinite combos, the deck closes the game around Turn 9 through sustained token swarms from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses, backed by relentless life drain. While highly resilient against creature-based strategies, the deck remains vulnerable to non-creature combo decks and exile board wipes due to a lack of reactive stack interaction.
