Deck overview

This is a mono-black Demon reanimation deck, helmed by Taborax, Hope's Demise, that leans heavily on the graveyard to cheat out huge, game-ending threats. The primary game plan involves filling the graveyard with self-mill spells, discarding, or tutors like Buried Alive and Entomb, then deploying a dense suite of reanimation effects - Animate Dead, Reanimate, Dread Return, Ever After, Patriarch's Bidding - to put Demons such as Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Vilis, Broker of Blood, Archfiend of Despair, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz onto the battlefield ahead of schedule. Taborax serves as a card-draw engine whenever a Cleric dies, rewarding sacrifice outlets and repeatable recursion. The deck can pivot to an alternate win with Liliana's Contract by assembling four different-named Demons, or close out games with the double-life-loss combination of Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Archfiend of Despair. With powerful tutors like Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire and Shadow-Rite Priest and the explosive mana of Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak, the deck is built to consistently find its critical pieces and overwhelm the table with high-impact graveyard value.
