Deck overview

This high-power Grixis deck is led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, combining aggressive discard synergies, wheel effects, and compact A+B combos. The primary strategy revolves around attaching Curiosity or Ophidian Eye to Glint-Horn Buccaneer or Brallin, Skyshark Rider, initiating a loop that deals lethal damage to the entire table in a single turn. Backed by explosive mana acceleration like Dark Ritual and Sol Ring, high-velocity card engines including Rhystic Study and Necropotence, and a suite of five efficient tutors, the deck reliably achieves its win condition by Turn 4. A robust interactive core featuring Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Deadly Rollick protects the combo while punishing opponents through asymmetric hate cards like Notion Thief, Orcish Bowmasters, and Dauthi Voidwalker. Even if the commander is removed, the deck transitions seamlessly to backup lines such as Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank with zero loss of tempo.
