Format: Commander

Commander: Bruce Banner // The Incredible Hulk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a low-to-the-ground mono-blue equipment/aura voltron strategy built around Bruce Banner, who draws cards early and later transforms into The Incredible Hulk for an enrage-based extra-combat kill. The supporting shell uses cheap artifacts, creature cantrips, and enchantments to find and power up a single attacker, while interaction is mostly low-cost counterspells and aura-based removal. The Hulk's enrage trigger-putting a counter, untapping, and generating an additional combat-turns any damage to him into a potential repeatable kill, especially with equipment that grants indestructible or prevents the damage from being lethal. The deck also has a secondary 'hidden commander' line around Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor, who can cheat out expensive equipment from hand. Overall, the plan is to deploy a cheap evasive threat, suit it up, protect it, and finish through commander damage in one or two combat steps.
