Deck overview

Niko, Light of Hope pilots an Azorius blink and token-copy midrange deck designed to translate enter-the-battlefield value into explosive combat finishes. The deck leverages Niko's entrance trigger to establish Shard tokens, which function as both early card filtering and instant copies of high-impact nonlegendary creatures. By targeting explosive threats with myriad—such as Battle Angels of Tyr and Auton Soldier—or massive token generators like Overlord of the Mistmoors, Niko transforms unassuming enchantment tokens into a lethal flying armada. The supporting shell combines efficient Azorius interaction (Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Generous Gift) with resilient blink engines (Soulherder, Teleportation Circle, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling) and low-cost protection (Teferi's Protection, Flare of Fortitude, Ephemerate). The deck steadily builds card and mana advantage through engines like Dour Port-Mage and Caretaker's Talent before executing a decisive two-turn combat clock around Turn 6, overwhelming opposing defenses with evasive myriad swarms.
