Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, engineered to maximize the commander's unique ability by running an unusually high density of multi-type cards, including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, and artifact lands. Supported by format-ceiling fast mana and an elite black-green tutor package, the deck reliably ramps into Rendmaw on Turn 3 or 4. Once Rendmaw is in play, every multi-type spell gifts each player a tapped, goaded 2/2 Bird token. While opponents are compelled to attack each other in the skies, you leverage aristocrat engines like Blood Artist, Marionette Apprentice, and Mirkwood Bats to drain life totals whenever tokens enter or die. Heavy asymmetric board-breakers such as Massacre Wurm, The Meathook Massacre, and Culling Ritual decimate opposing Bird swarms, turning symmetrical gifts into fatal one-sided blowouts that reliably close the game by Turn 7.
