Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Polymorph Control deck piloted by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The construction deliberately excludes low-mana utility creatures, ensuring that every polymorph trigger flips directly into a high-impact, high-CMC threat. The deck's early turns focus on deploying 2-CMC mana ramp and noncreature token generators such as Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Lingering Souls. On Turn 4, Jace enters the battlefield and immediately uses his −3 loyalty ability to exile a token and put a devastating creature or planeswalker onto the battlefield, such as Archon of Cruelty, Hullbreaker Horror, Serra's Emissary, or Archfiend of Despair. Mass polymorph effects like Mass Polymorph and Synthetic Destiny provide explosive redundancy. The deck controls opposing development through asymmetric attack taxes, versatile spot removal, and sweeper spells that produce replacement tokens, steadily grinding down opponents with massive flying damage by Turn 7.
