Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, combining Villain typal synergies with connive card filtering and discard-based life drain. In the early turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and low-cost Villains such as Prowler, Clawed Thief and Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord. Once Doctor Doom enters on Turn 4, every combat step triggers connive, steadily sculpting the hand, growing attackers with +1/+1 counters, and burning opponents whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game turns compound this advantage through token swarms from Madame Hydra and Ultron, Unlimited, combat cloning from Loki, the Deceiver, and wide stat buffs from Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon. Solid targeted removal and asymmetric sweepers like Kindred Dominance keep opposing boards clear while the deck closes out the table through evasive menace combat damage and incremental life drain.
