Zurgo Rage! by AgentCaelus

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Stormrender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zurgo Stormrender leads a Mardu token-aristocrats deck that turns every attack into a Warrior token and every token death into cards or life loss. The primary plan is to multiply tokens with Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Ojer Taq, and Elspeth, then convert them into damage through Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Warleader's Call, and death triggers from Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion, and Elas il-Kor. Secondary paths are wide combat with anthems and a compact sacrifice loop using Phyrexian/Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Stridehangar Automaton. Zurgo, Thunder's Decree acts as a hidden commander, letting Warrior tokens survive their end-step sacrifice and turning Mobilize into permanent board growth.
