Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis combo-control build designed to assemble compact, instant-speed win conditions, primarily Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation, with redundant lines like Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame and Underworld Breach loops. The commander, Kefka, Court Mage, serves as a mid-game card engine and attrition threat by stripping opposing hands and converting discarded card types into raw card advantage. The deck defends its execution with an efficient counterspell package including Flusterstorm, Mindbreak Trap, and Flare of Denial, while proactive threats like Hexing Squelcher prevent opposing stack interaction. Asymmetric punishment pieces such as Notion Thief, Orcish Bowmasters, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Oppression suppress opponent resources and punish standard card draw. Although duplicate basic lands limit Tainted Pact, strong black and blue tutor density ensures reliable combo onset by Turn 4.
