When Doran Woke by weebirdie

Format: Commander

Commander: Doran, Besieged by Time

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Abzan Treefolk tribal deck built around Doran, Besieged by Time as a toughness-matters force multiplier. The first ability discounts most of the tribe's oversized-butts creatures, while the attack/block trigger converts their high toughness into enormous power swings. The deck plans to ramp into a dense board of Treefolk, use Doran's pump to turn defensive bodies into lethal attackers, and refuel through high-end value pieces like Last March of the Ents, Leaf-Crowned Elder, and Up the Beanstalk. Secondary wins come from Saproling overproduction via Sapling Nursery, Sporemound, and Verdeloth the Ancient, backed by a solid mass-reanimation package in Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding. There are no infinite combos in the 99; this is a value-and-combat inevitability build that wants to win through massive, recurring swing turns.
