Deck overview

This deck leverages Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief to duplicate single-target spells, primarily mutate creatures, Auras, and protective cantrips. By targeting a non-Human creature with a mutate creature or an Aura, Ivy creates an exact copy targeting herself. This doubles the value of every buff, draw spell, and mutate trigger. The deck uses low-cost ramp to deploy Ivy and a secondary creature early, then scales power quickly with cards like Auspicious Starrix, Ancestral Mask, and Octopus Umbra. It protects its high-investment stacks with cheap, copied hexproof and bounce spells such as Blossoming Defense and Slip Out the Back. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking nonland tutors, the deck draws massive amounts of cards through combat damage triggers and copied cantrips, overwhelming the table through evasive combat damage by Turn 7.
