Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade, built around the modified mechanic (Auras, Equipment, and counters). It utilizes 2- and 3-CMC ramp to deploy Chishiro ahead of curve, converting subsequent equipment and enchantments into 2/2 menace Spirit tokens while continuously scaling the team with +1/+1 counters on each end step. Card replenishment comes from burst draw spells scaled to creature power or board width, such as Rishkar's Expertise and Shamanic Revelation. Because the deck operates without infinite combos, it aims to construct an overwhelming board presence by Turn 6, finishing the table across Turns 6 through 8 via combat multipliers like Unnatural Growth, extra combat steps from Akki Battle Squad, and evasion from Champion of Lambholt. Its interaction and protection suites are compact but flexible, requiring careful timing to navigate opposing sweepers.
