Deck overview

This Mardu artifact deck, helmed by Megatron, Tyrant // Megatron, Destructive Force, is a midrange ramp-and-drain strategy. The primary plan is to accelerate with artifact mana rocks, cast Megatron early for his combat phase lock (opponents cannot cast spells during combat), and generate explosive mana by converting him after attacks. With that mana, the deck deploys large artifact creatures like Darksteel Colossus and Krang, Utrom Warlord or finishes the table with X-spells such as Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate. Wake the Past and Salvation Engine provide recurring board presence. The deck wins through repeated combat damage or a single massive life-drain turn, relying on artifact synergies and heavy ramp rather than compact combos.
