Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses the unique Rulebreaker mechanic of Whtz, the Bibliophile to play a 252-card library. Exceeding the 200-card starting threshold reduces the commander's activation cost to zero mana, generating a free card draw and life gain trigger every turn starting on Turn 4. The enormous deck size naturally fuels Battle of Wits, which wins the game on upkeep whenever the library holds 200 or more cards. To survive while digging through its library, the deck builds a durable pillowfort defense with cards like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety, supported by fog effects, sweepers, and group draw artifacts. Although the 252-card construction introduces access variance and dilutes interaction density, it grants near-total immunity to mill strategies and establishes an inevitable late-game clock.
