Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender leads a land-animation deck that turns lands into hasty creatures with earthbend and grows them with +1/+1 counters. The primary plan stacks counter doublers like Branching Evolution and The Earth Crystal with earthbend triggers to make 8/8 to 16/16 land creatures, then wins through extra combats from Bumi, Unleashed and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Secondary paths swarm with Scute Swarm and Felidar Retreat or loop landfall for infinite mana and tokens. Toph supplies free end-step earthbend and makes artifacts into lands, but the deck earthbends without her. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild acts as a hidden commander, turning creatures into lands for synergy and combos.
