Gorma combo deck by Gangan

Format: Commander

Commander: Gorma, the Gullet

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

A low-to-the-ground Golgari combo deck that wins through compact non-combat loops. The primary plan is Witherbloom Apprentice plus Chain of Smog, backed by a Protean Hulk reanimation shell that assembles a one-shot persist/drain pile. The practical hidden commander is Protean Hulk, while the actual commander, Gorma, the Gullet, acts as an optional engine: its replacement +1/+1 counter on nontoken creatures cancels persist's -1/-1 counter, enabling repeated sacrifice loops without Melira. The deck is built to use Gorma as a secondary enable, but not to rely on it; most kills function normally if the commander is never cast.
