Deck overview

This deck is a Boros spellslinger and control list that weaponizes Lorehold, the Historian to cast expensive instant and sorcery spells for their miracle cost of two mana. By discarding and drawing on each opponent's upkeep, the commander provides constant card selection and allows players to cast massive sorceries at instant speed. Support cards such as Sensei's Divining Top, Penance, and Library of Leng manipulate the top of the library to guarantee miracle hits like Storm Herd, Dance with Calamity, and Blasphemous Act. Secondary engines like Quintorius, Field Historian and Garrison Excavator turn discarded and exiled cards into a wide board of Spirit tokens. The deck plays a controlling early game with efficient removal before deploying Lorehold on Turn 5, attempting to assemble a decisive flying army on Turn 6 and closing out the table with combat damage by Turn 8.
