Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Horror. The early game focuses on establishing mana rocks and deploying low-cost sacrifice outlets alongside life-draining payoffs like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. During the mid-game, the deck ramps into high-impact threats such as Kokusho, the Evening Star, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. When Avacyn, Angel of Horror enters the battlefield, any nontoken creature sacrificed returns at the beginning of the next end step, turning one-shot ETB and death effects into repeatable engines across every player's turn.
