Tramplesaurus Rex (Foundations Commander Precon Decklist) by MrGrimms

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghalta, Primal Hunger

Bracket: 2

DeckCheck Threat Index: 31

Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck maximizes mana efficiency by converting cheap, high-power creatures into an early cast of Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The opening turns leverage efficient mana dorks like Elvish Mystic and Birds of Paradise to deploy over-statted three-drops such as Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull. With 10 or more power on the board by Turn 3, Ghalta enters for just two green mana on Turn 4. Critical pressure begins on Turn 5, where Ghalta's 12/12 trample body forces difficult blocks and threatens lethal commander damage. Card advantage engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond keep resources flowing as big threats enter. While the deck boasts raw physical dominance and robust alternate beaters like Gigantosaurus, it relies almost entirely on combat damage and natural draws. A low density of instant-speed protection leaves large boards vulnerable to opposing sweepers and pinpoint exile.
