Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund Aristocrats and -1/-1 counters build commanded by The Reaper, King No More. The primary strategy focuses on converting -1/-1 counters into steady card draw, token generation, and creature control before executing an infinite life-drain loop. Engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician establish massive card velocity and suppress opposing boards. The deck transitions into a lethal win through Protean Hulk or a natural assembly of Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and a drain piece such as Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. With strong acceleration and low-cost recursion via Persist, the deck recovers quickly from creature removal. While it boasts versatile spot removal and asymmetric creature suppression through Kulrath Knight and Necroskitter, its lack of stack protection and counterspells leaves its combo windows open to well-timed instant-speed disruption and graveyard hate.
