Deck overview

Ghoulcaller Gisa leads a mono-black Zombie tribal deck that converts high-power creatures into large numbers of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck then scales those tokens with Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, Undead Warchief, Liliana's Mastery, and Bad Moon. Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, Endless Ranks of the Dead, and Open the Graves provide additional token production, while Undead Augur, Midnight Reaper, Graveborn Muse, and Phyrexian Arena help replace cards. Its strongest games develop a large board around turns 7–8 and win through combat over several turns. The main limits are weak tutoring, little stack interaction, limited protection, and substantial dependence on surviving creatures. Sol Ring and the mana rocks create occasional fast starts, but the ordinary plan is not a fast combo deck. Removal and recursion give it useful staying power, though rebuilding after a sweeper is slow.
