Deck overview

This Grixis deck is helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord and operates as a discard-reanimation value engine. The primary game plan is to repeatedly trigger the Ring tempts you, using Sauron's ability to discard your hand and draw four cards to fuel graveyard synergies, then reanimate massive threats (Diluvian Primordial, Sepulchral Primordial, Lord of the Forsaken, etc.) to overwhelm opponents. The deck also runs an amass subtheme for board presence, with Call of the Ring and In the Darkness Bind Them generating extra Ring triggers. The backup commander Sauron, Lord of the Rings provides a secondary reanimation effect. The deck wins through combat damage from reanimated fatties, utilizing haste enablers like Anger in the graveyard and mass reanimation spells like Living Death to rebuild and finish the table.
