Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron and control strategy led by Captain America, First Avenger. The deck aims to bypass expensive equip costs using the commander's Catch trigger, attaching massive Equipment like Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden for free at the beginning of combat. Once equipped, Captain America presents a rapid two-turn commander damage clock against individual opponents while utilizing his Throw ability to deal large amounts of direct damage to opposing creatures and planeswalkers. An extensive suite of tutors ensures fast access to key weapons, while draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer maintain card velocity. Defensively, the list features a dedicated protection package that includes Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, and an instant-speed toolbox powered by Sunforger. While the deck finishes opponents sequentially over multiple combat steps, its blend of targeted removal, damage-doubling effects, and resilient shielding creates a steady, interactive path to victory.
