Deck overview

This five-color deck blends spellslinger engines with prepare spell mechanics under Codie, Ravenous Codex. Its primary objective is assembling a compact Magecraft win condition using Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog, which drains the entire table in a single turn cycle. Supporting the primary combo is a robust package of prepare creatures that provide massive value when doubled by Codie, such as Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall for explosive card advantage and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song for rapid mana generation. Secondary win routes include Professor Onyx Magecraft loops and an infinite mana combination using Chromatic Orrery and Filigree Sages to fuel Crackle with Power. While the mana base features tapped tri-lands that slow early development, the deck compensates with potent interaction and broad protection spells like Clever Concealment and Heroic Intervention to defend its decisive combo turns.
