Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck executes a classic Grixis wheel and group-slug strategy. It turns symmetrical card draw into lethal damage by punishing opponents whenever they draw cards. The deck accelerates in the early turns using mana rocks and rituals, quickly establishing Nekusar or low-mana punishers such as Underworld Dreams and Razorkin Needlehead. Once a damage engine is active, symmetrical draw artifacts like Howling Mine maintain consistent pressure. The primary win condition revolves around casting massive wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Timetwister, and Time Spiral. These spells force every opponent to draw seven cards simultaneously, dealing heavy burst damage that scales with damage amplifiers like Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. A low-cost counterspell package protects key turns on the stack. Because the deck provides opponents with extensive card draw, it aims to close out the game rapidly across two response cycles before opponents can leverage their fresh hands.
