Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Orzhov Aristocrats strategy commanded by Teysa Karlov, designed to exploit death triggers for compounding card advantage, board control, and sudden combo finishes. The game plan centers on establishing a tripartite engine of disposable creature fodder, free sacrifice outlets, and drain payoffs. Teysa Karlov doubles every death trigger, converting modest drain effects into lethal life swings and card-draw triggers into massive hand replenishment. Mana velocity is accelerated by sacrifice converters such as Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, Warren Soultrader, and Pitiless Plunderer. The deck wins by assembling infinite recursive loops, most notably Reveillark paired with Karmic Guide or Nether Traitor with Phyrexian Altar, which drain all opponents from 40 to 0 on Turn 5. Stax elements like Dauthi Voidwalker and Dictate of Erebos disrupt opposing plans while cheap reanimation spells provide resilient recovery against removal.
