Deck overview

This Grixis list is a Ring-temptation combo-midrange deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. Sauron converts every "the Ring tempts you" trigger into a full hand - discard, then draw four - while his Ward tax drains opponents' legendary permanents and his amass trigger keeps an Orc Army on board as opponents cast spells. The deck carries three compact kill lines: Demonic Consultation plus Thassa's Oracle, Sanguine Bond plus Exquisite Blood, and the Myr Welder/Staff of Domination mana loop. Around those, a nine-copy Nazgul core, Lord of the Nazgul, and Marchesa, the Black Rose create a real Wraith-beatdown secondary path, with Living Death and Reanimate for recursion and a sagas package - There and Back Again, In the Darkness Bind Them, One Ring to Rule Them All - for value, theft, and board control. Master of Cruelties adds a one-shot "set to 1" angle alongside Rising of the Day.
