Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue draw-go control strategy commanded by Katara, Waterbending Master. The game plan revolves around holding up mana each round to cast low-cost instant-speed interaction, counterspells, and bounce effects on opponents' turns. Each spell cast during an opponent's turn grants an experience counter to Katara. Once Katara attacks, she converts these counters into substantial card draw. The deck leverages this massive card flow into win conditions such as Psychosis Crawler life drain, an army of 8/8 Kraken tokens from Ominous Seas, or resolved game-enders like Enter the Infinite paired with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Stax elements like Back to Basics and Winter Moon capitalize on the deck's 25 basic Islands to slow opposing mana bases while the deck advances unhindered.
