Deck overview

This mono-black deck pairs Sarevok, Deathbringer with Cultist of the Absolute to build a punishing group slug and aristocrats clock. The strategy deploys cheap, self-recurring creatures and token generators to satisfy Cultist of the Absolute's upkeep sacrifice requirement. This sacrifice triggers every turn, protecting the pilot from Sarevok's end-step penalty while inflating Sarevok into a lethal 6/7 flying commander with deathtouch and ward. Opponents who fail to have a permanent leave the battlefield on their turns take 6 passive damage every turn cycle.
