Mogis by Muranowski

Format: Commander

Commander: Mogis, God of Slaughter

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos group-slug deck helmed by Mogis, God of Slaughter. The strategy is to punish every opponent action-casting spells, drawing cards, playing lands, tapping lands, having creatures die-while multiplying that pain with damage-doublers. The primary win path is attrition: cumulative life loss from symmetrical enchantments like Underworld Dreams, Spellshock, Citadel of Pain, and Ankh of Mishra, accelerated by Furnace of Rath-style effects. Finishers such as Heartless Hidetsugu (with a doubler), Exsanguinate, Havoc Festival, and Blood for the Blood God! close the game. The commander itself provides a steady 2-damage tax per opponent per turn, but the deck's engine lives in the 99 and does not rely on Mogis being on the battlefield.
