Deck overview

This Golgari deck combines land acceleration, self-mill, and sacrifice mechanics to execute a lethal table-wide burn strategy. Commanded by Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, the list uses early green ramp spells to establish engines like The Gitrog Monster, Six, and Underrealm Lich. It fills the graveyard with lands and creature cards, transforming the graveyard into an accessible second hand. Midgame plays such as Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, Aftermath Analyst, and Scapeshift return mass lands to the battlefield, dramatically inflating the power of scaling creatures like Lord of Extinction, Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar, and Cultivator Colossus. Rather than relying solely on combat, the deck achieves victory by sacrificing these massive threats to Jarad, dealing lethal direct life loss to all three opponents in a single burst. When Jarad is unavailable, the deck pivots to trample-based combat damage backed by Mightform Harmonizer and Sylvan Safekeeper.
