Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elfball deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with cheap mana dorks, convert that mana into a critical mass of Elf Warrior tokens through Lathril's combat trigger and token generators, then close the game with Lathril's activated ability - tapping ten Elves to drain each opponent for 10 - or with a massive overrun. The deck also carries a hidden infinite-mana family: Staff of Domination or Umbral Mantle with any of the big mana dorks (Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Circle of Dreams Druid, Wirewood Channeler, Marwyn, the Nurturer) produces infinite mana and infinite draw, letting the deck fire Lathril's drain repeatedly. The commander is a value engine and a win condition, but the combo lines live entirely in the 99.
