Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger control and burn-attrition deck commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The strategy turns every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater into a 2-damage burn spell targeting each opponent while gaining life and drawing cards. By enchanting Y'shtola with damage-triggered draw Auras like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Helm of the Ghastlord, every 3+ CMC spell triggers 3 card draws across the table. The list uses free spells (Snuff Out, Misdirection) and land-untapping spells (Frantic Search, Unwind, Rewind) to chain multiple spells in a single turn without stalling. Non-legendary clone spells such as Irenicus's Vile Duplication and Spark Double double these burn triggers, rapidly draining life totals. Strong defensive pieces like Solitary Confinement, Painful Quandary, and Blind Obedience lock down opposing combat and resources until the table is burned out.
