Deck overview

This Temur (+1/+1 counters) deck is helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements, leveraging its cost-reduction ability to power out massive colorless creatures and enable a compact infinite-combo finish. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating Animar onto the battlefield early via mana dorks, accumulating +1/+1 counters through creature casts, and assembling the Ancestral Statue loop for infinite mana, infinite counters, and a lethal payoff (Walking Ballista, Impact Tremors, or Warstorm Surge). Secondary wins come from explosive combat damage with Blightsteel Colossus, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, or a gigantic animated Animar given trample by Temur Ascendancy or Garruk's Uprising. A dense tutor package (Survival of the Fittest, Worldly Tutor, Momir Vig, Simic Visionary, Chord of Calling) consistently finds the combo pieces, while premium draw engines (Rhystic Study, Consecrated Sphinx, Beast Whisperer) keep the hand full. The deck plays as a fast, tutor-heavy combo shell with a resilient backup beatdown plan.
