Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange strategy led by Lagrella, the Magpie that blends enter-the-battlefield value, blink engines, and +1/+1 counter scaling. Early turns focus on establishing two-mana ramp and deploying utility creatures such as Wall of Omens and Sea Gate Oracle. By Turn 4, the deck deploys persistent blink engines like Soulherder or Brago, King Eternal to repeatedly trigger card draw and temporary exile effects. Lagrella, the Magpie acts as a versatile tempo tool, exiling opposing threats while buffing your own creatures with +1/+1 counters upon their return. As the board widens, the deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 7 using Overwhelming Stampede or large evasive creatures to close out the game over two combat cycles. The list features a resilient defensive package with counterspells and instant-speed phase-out/blink protection spells.
