Max's Miiyrm Dragons by ArmedRiceBowl

Format: Commander

Commander: Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 44

Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Dragon tribal strategy centered on Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. It accelerates early with an efficient suite of 1–2 CMC ramp spells, mana dorks, and Dragon cost-reducers to cast Miirym ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once Miirym is in play, every subsequent Dragon spell generates a nonlegendary token copy. The deck leverages power-based card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising to draw multiple cards per cast. Lethal threat onset occurs reliably on Turn 5 through explosive payoffs such as Scourge of Valkas, Astral Dragon, and Atarka, World Render, delivering massive flying combat damage or devastating direct burn triggers. While the deck relies heavily on permanent-based board states that are susceptible to board wipes, built-in ward protection, backup copiers like Reflections of Littjara, and high individual card quality ensure swift recovery and formidable mid-game inevitability.
