Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color synergy midrange list helmed by Karolina Dean, Runaway, built to capitalize on cards cast from exile and other non-hand zones. Karolina provides an explosive engine by generating {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} every precombat main phase, specifically allocated for non-hand spells and abilities. Supported by a dense suite of 2-CMC mana rocks, the deck consistently deploys Karolina on Turn 3 or 4 and utilizes impulse-draw cards such as Light Up the Stage, Crossover Collaboration, and Hex Magic to maintain relentless card flow. Payoffs like Nico Minoru, Runaway, Flaming Tyrannosaurus, Iraxxa, Empress of Mars, and The War Doctor convert each exiled cast into widespread burn and aggressive board presence. While the deck boasts immense mana velocity and card advantage, its primary vulnerability lies in its reliance on untapping with Karolina and a relatively thin reactive interaction suite.
