Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck harnesses Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER as both a card engine and a win condition. By pairing symmetrical edicts like Accursed Marauder and Fleshbag Marauder with low-cost recursive creatures, the deck swiftly triggers Sephiroth's transformation condition in a single turn. Once transformed into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, the resulting Super Nova emblem ensures permanent, non-interactable drain whenever any creature dies. The deck constricts opposing boards via Grave Pact and Priest of Forgotten Gods, converting sacrificed fodder into card draw, treasure mana, and life drain. Redundant drain payoffs like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Marionette Apprentice accelerate table-wide damage, while burst reanimation and Gray Merchant of Asphodel close out the late game.
