live long and prosper by riston

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic commands an Esper control and combo strategy that weaponizes incremental lifegain. Operating primarily from the command zone, Oloro provides free life each turn to trigger life-dependent payoffs without ever needing to enter the battlefield. The deck stabilizes the board using counterspells like Mana Drain and Force of Will alongside defensive stax like Propaganda. It then pivots into lethal two-card combos, most notably Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Sanguine Bond. Alternate finishers include Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista, Bolas's Citadel top-deck storm with Aetherflux Reservoir, or alternate win conditions like Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance.
