Deck overview

Vannifar, Evolved Enigma is a cloak-and-flip tempo engine at the head of a Simic 'big mana' deck. Vannifar cloaks expensive creatures from hand every combat; Ixidor, Reality Sculptor or a one-mana flicker effect turns those face-down 2/2s into Terastodon, Ulamog, or Jin-Gitaxias without paying their mana costs. A second layer abuses colorless tokens and face-down creatures with Vannifar's counter mode and Trail of Mystery. The deck also carries two deterministic combo kills: Dark Depths plus Thespian's Stage makes Marit Lage, and Enter the Infinite plus Jace, Wielder of Mysteries wins on the spot. Instant-speed flickers and free counterspells protect the fragile early board while flash enablers let the deck operate on opponents' turns.
