Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy build designed to exploit the aggressive cost-reduction mechanic of Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The core game plan focuses on deploying efficient, undercosted creatures with disproportionately high power—such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable—during the first three turns. This rapid accumulation of board power enables casting Ghalta for as little as two green mana as early as Turn 4. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield, the deck converts high power into card velocity through draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. The deck closes games on Turn 6 or 7 by dealing lethal commander damage and leveraging game-ending team buffs such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While vulnerable to mass creature sweepers and lacking stack interaction, the deck maintains resilience through thick creature statlines and swift engine recovery.
