Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Golgari go-wide synergy deck built around its commander, Witherbloom, the Balancer. By swarming the battlefield in the opening turns with inexpensive creature tokens from cards like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Lord Skitter, Sewer King, and Chatterfang, Squirrel General, the deck reduces the casting cost of its commander to just {B}{G}. Once on the battlefield, the commander grants affinity for creatures to all instant and sorcery spells. This allows the deck to cast game-breaking draw spells like Stinging Study and Shamanic Revelation for 1 to 2 mana, chaining directly into lethal sorcery-speed win conditions. On turn 5, discounted tutors such as Finale of Devastation or Tooth and Nail put Craterhoof Behemoth onto the battlefield, granting massive buffs and trample to eliminate all three opponents in a single combat step.
