Deck overview

This mono-white deck leverages The Gaffer to turn consistent lifegain into a compounding card advantage engine. Built on a dense foundation of cheap 'Soul Sister' creatures like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Guide of Souls, the deck reliably hits the three-life threshold required to draw extra cards on end steps. As the life total climbs well past starting totals, the deck transitions into lethal threats using scaling payoffs such as Righteous Valkyrie, Archangel of Thune, and Resplendent Angel, generating large flying Angel tokens with global power buffs. Alternate win conditions like Test of Endurance and Aetherflux Reservoir provide direct avenues to close games if combat stalls. The deck supplements its creature strategy with efficient point removal (Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Dispatch) and taxing permanents like Blind Obedience and Charismatic Conqueror, while utilizing protection pieces like Flare of Fortitude to withstand board wipes.
