Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck develops a board of synergistic Villain creatures during the early turns, using the commander's combat trigger to grant menace and connive each turn. Connive continually filters card selection, fuels the graveyard, and places +1/+1 counters on key attackers, while discarding land cards deals direct burn to all opponents. As the game transitions into the midgame, token creators like Red Ghost, Intangible Genius and Ultron, Unlimited team up with powerful kindred payoffs like The Squadron Sinister and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon to push large amounts of evasive combat damage. High-impact removal spells like Toxic Deluge and Kindred Dominance break parity, while mayhem creatures and recursion soften opposing interaction. The deck aims to overwhelm opposing life totals through steady menace attacks and incidental burn around Turn 8.
