Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange strategy led by Shadrix Silverquill that blends flying token swarms, +1/+1 counter distribution, and aristocrat drain engines. In the opening turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and early utility creatures before casting its commander on Turn 4 or 5. Shadrix Silverquill creates 2/1 flying Inkling tokens and generates steady card advantage every combat step. During the mid-game, the deck transitions from incremental value to lethal pressure by deploying powerful mass pump engines like Cathars' Crusade, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Moonshaker Cavalry, or by chaining life drain through Vein Ripper and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. A robust suite of asymmetric disruption, including Opposition Agent and Trouble in Pairs, punishes fast opposing decks while low-cost instant removal protects the board. The deck reliably closes out multiplayer tables by Turn 8 through wide evasive combat and aristocrat triggers.
