Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov political counters build led by Breena, the Demagogue. Its primary strategy leverages low-cost evasive creatures on early turns to immediately trigger Breena upon her arrival on Turn 3. By attacking opponents with higher life totals, the deck generates consistent card draw while rapidly stacking +1/+1 counters onto Breena and supporting threats. As Breena quickly grows into a lethal flying commander damage threat, damage multipliers like Duelist's Heritage and token producers like Combat Calligrapher accelerate table elimination. To sustain this combat-centric game plan across multiple turn rotations, the deck runs a remarkably dense suite of low-cost protection spells, including Clever Concealment, Dawn's Truce, and Loran's Escape, alongside proactive combat deterrents like Ghostly Prison and Nils, Discipline Enforcer. While lacking stack-based countermagic, the deck compensates with premier spot removal, resilient board-state shielding, and political incentives that redirect opposing aggression while smoothly closing the game by Turn 7.
